◆INTRODUCTION OF GPNU

Founded in 1957, Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University (GPNU) is an institution of higher education authorized to award both Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree. GPNU is located in the center of Guangzhou with convenient transportation. The campus is well-equipped with all kinds of facilities including canteens, banks, a gym and libraries. The School of International Education, was established in 2004 and offers three undergraduate degree programs (taught in English) in Business Administration, International Economics & Trade and Computer Science and Technology. Additionally. It also provides Chinese language courses for international students. Up till now, over 4000 students from more than 70 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and America have been enrolled and graduated from this School. It has an excellent reputation in the field of international education.

◆ SPECIAL FEATURES

1.The School of International Education is unique as it is exclusively established for international students. It has an experienced team of instructors and friendly administrative staff. The original unique "snowballing learning" helps international students improve their Chinese quickly.

2.All degree programs (taught in English) are closely matching with the industry, education institution and often get practical support and enjoy good prestige from international job market. The students can do their internship in companies located in Guangdong Province. Career planning guidance are provided through seminars, lectures, field trips, companies/factories visits and job fairs.

3.The School of International Education has rich experience of organizing cultural activities. We have long-term cooperation with Guangdong Provincial Museum, Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, Shihsanhang Museum of Archaeology, Guangzhou Lime plastic Research Institute, Chen Clan Academy Museum etc. Every year, we organize cultural experience activities for international students to increase their understanding of China and Guangzhou.

◆ CHINESE LANGUAGE PROGRAM      

The Chinese Language Program (non-degree program) is exclusively designed for international students who aim to learn Chinese language. The program has three modules. Students with zero proficiency in Chinese language will be enrolled in Primary Module. Intermediate and Advanced Learning Modules for students who have some foundation in Chinese language.

Major Courses: Basic Chinese, Chinese Listening, Oral Chinese, Chinese Reading and Writing, Chinese Culture. All students enrolled in this program will be awarded course-completion certificates.

◆ BACHELOR DEGREE PROGRAMS (Taught in English)

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

DEGREE AWARDED: Bachelor's Degree in Management

DURATION: 4 years

MAIN COURSES: Three-dimensional integrated curriculum system

Ø Business Administration Foundation: Covering Economics, Management, Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Operations Management, etc.

Ø Artificial Intelligence Empowerment: Including Python data analysis, new media technology, and digital marketing.

Ø Cross-border Livestreaming Practice: Encompassing live streaming script design, video account and official account production, multi-platform operations, virtual anchor and AI digital human technology, cross-border supply chain management, and cross-border e-commerce laws and regulations.

JOB ORIENTATION: This program is committed to cultivate composite business professionals with an international perspective, digital mindset, and practical capabilities, enabling students to master core theories of business administration, be proficient in AI tools, excel in the entire process of cross-border e-commerce livestreaming operations (including product selection and planning, live streaming execution, data analysis, and supply chain management), and possess cross-cultural business communication skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.

International economICS and trade

DEGREE AWARDED: Bachelor's degree in Economics

DURATION: 4 years

MAIN COURSES: Basics of Computer Application, Customer Relationship Management, Macroeconomics, Electronic Commerce, Network Marketing, International Enterprise Management, Business English, Business Negotiation, International Marketing, etc.

JOB ORIENTATION: This program is designed to cultivate professional talents with higher cultural quality and innovation, students graduated from this program will have opportunity to run their own companies or work  in international business and multinational enterprises, governmental departments of economics, foreign trade companies and export-oriented enterprises.

COMPUTER SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

DEGREE AWARDED: Bachelor's degree in Engineering

DURATION: 4 years

MAIN COURSES: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Operating System, C Programming, Python Programming, Software Engineering, Web-page Design, Design of Network Application Software, Database Application Development Training, etc.

JOB ORIENTATION: The graduates possess solid and broad engineering technology foundation, as well as professional knowledge and practical ability in the field of computer science and technology. They can engage in the application and development of computer science and technology, management of E-commerce., multimedia technology, computer network, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

◆ ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. High school graduate or above.

2. English as the native language or with good proficiency in English.

3. Good health condition (Students will have physical examination at designated hospital before the final admission).

4. Interested candidates shall be within the age bracket of 18 - 30 years, without criminal record.

◆ TUITION FEE

Note: Fees listed above include medical insurance. If the number of students is not enough for one class, tuition fee will be refunded for any students fail to be enrolled. The course textbook fee must be paid by the students themselves.

Registration fee: 250 RMB. Accommodation is self-arranged.

This scholarship is set up by Guangdong Government, with the aim of encouraging more outstanding international students to get their Bachelor degree education in Guangdong. 10000 Yuan/year for Bachelor.
