School of International Education (SIE) held 2018 International Students Commendation Conference and Chinese-International Students New Year Party on the afternoon of December 20, 2018 on main campus. Thirty-nine scholarship students for 2018 GPNU International Students Scholarship, eighteen Track Sports Meet prize-winners of GPNU, and forty-six prize-winners in Chinese Recitation and Character Writing Competition were honored at the commendation conference. The winners came from 28 nations, including

. Leaders and teachers of SIE presented honorary credentials and prizes to these winners.

At the New Year Party for Chinese-International Students held in Milu Hotel in the evening, teachers and international students from more than 30 nations enjoyed a happy get-together with Chinese students. International students, teachers and Chinese students presented their respective outstanding shows, including traditional joyful dance from Pacific island nation, Chinese and English songs, magic and poetry recitation, which roused continuous applauses and laughter. According to many teachers and students, the shows this year, with high quality, attracted a large number of students and helped further harmonize teacher-student relationship.
