On the morning of May 10, the review conference for 2019 GPUN International Students Scholarship was held in Room 1003, the first teaching building, at the main campus of GPNU. Attendees included leaders and all tutors of School of International Education (SIE), Angolan academic student Emma and Congolese (Kinshasa) Chinese-language student representative Lunanga.
Based on the provisions of the Detailed Selection Regulations for the International Student Scholarship of GPNU and on the comprehensive consideration of the students’ academic results, attendance, daily performance and award-winning situation, etc., the review panel selected 6 postgraduates, 29 undergraduates and 10 Chinese-language students as scholarship winners. SIE will hold an award ceremony after five working days of the announcement of the review results.
Upon completion of the review, the panel also re-discussed and revised the Detailed Selection Regulations for the International Student Scholarship of GPNU based on the issues encountered during the review, laying a good foundation for the scholarship application and review next year. It was the first time for SIE to invite foreign students to take part in the scholarship review, showing a new effort toward an ‘open, fair and impartial’ evaluation.
