In order to thoroughly implement the party's educational policy and promote the comprehensive development of students, on March 25th, Yu Zhong'en, the Party Secretary 

of School of  International Education, delivered the "First Ideological and Political Course" to the international class students of the 2023 grade with the theme of "Enhancing Core Qualities and Becoming Innovators of the New Era" at Room 409, Building No. 3, Baiyun Campus of GPNU.

Mr. Yu first described the significance of education in achieving the "two centenary goals" and the Chinese Dream of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, as well as the overall modernization development scenario of China's education by 2035, by referencing the "China Education Modernization 2035". Then, through the interpretation of the main content of the "Core Qualities for the Development of Chinese Students", Mr. Yu explained the basic requirements of the economic and social development in the new era for the comprehensive qualities of college students. Finally, Mr. Yu emphasized that although students do not face the huge pressure of exams like in high school after entering university, they should not lower their requirements. They should continuously improve their cultural literacy, learn to study and develop independently, establish lofty ideals, clarify their development direction, and strive for it.

This "First Ideological and Political Course" not only inspired students to reflect on education and learning, broadened their cognitive horizons, but also helped them clarify their development directions and establish clearer life goals. The students expressed their determination to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, study hard, develop excellent skills, and contribute their youthful strength to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
