To ensure the smooth implementation of the evaluation and review of undergraduate education and teaching, the School of International Education held a promotional meeting for the work on March 15 in Conference Room 1012 of the First Building on the East Campus. Secretary Yu Zhong'en, Dean Zhang Yan, and all faculty and staff attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Yu Zhong'en emphasized the importance of the evaluation and review of undergraduate education and teaching and put forward several requirements for the upcoming evaluation work. Firstly, it is necessary to raise political awareness and recognize that the evaluation and review of undergraduate education and teaching is a comprehensive inspection of the quality of undergraduate talent cultivation in universities. Secondly, extensive mobilization and unity of thought should be achieved to meet the evaluation with high standards. Thirdly, all faculty and staff should fulfill their respective duties, form a concerted effort, and make sufficient preparations for fully embracing the evaluation and review.
Zhang Yan made specific deployments for the upcoming evaluation and review work. Firstly, a leading group for the evaluation and review work of the school will be established to unify thinking, build consensus, and carefully prepare for the evaluation and review. Secondly, it is necessary to fully understand the basic principles, standards, and importance of the evaluation and review, use theory to guide practice, and promote work through practice. Thirdly, the school should firmly establish a holistic approach, regard this evaluation as an important current task, have clear division of labor and mutual cooperation, actively and comprehensively implement the work responsibilities of the evaluation and review, and effectively achieve the goals of "promoting construction through evaluation, promoting reform through evaluation, promoting management through evaluation, and promoting strength through evaluation" to promote the high-quality development of the school's education and teaching work.
